EXTRACTS FROM BONE LINES

Well, these are strange and difficult times indeed and while we must all find creative new ways to share, connect, manage and even reinvent, I wanted to make a small and humble offering of my words and my voice.

THE RIVER

Recorded with the only tech I currently have available to me in isolation (so please forgive any quality issues), here is The River, an episode from Bone Lines in which the prehistoric heroine continues her long, lonely and hazardous journey towards an intuitive sense of sanctuary.

THE BONE DRAWER

This excerpt is from the contemporary timeline of the dual narrative in my novel Bone Lines, chosen as a ‘snapshot’ of both the character and the concerns of Dr Eloise Kluft, a geneticist studying the remains of an important archaeological discovery.

BONE LINES LIVE AT BRIXTON BOOK JAM

A slightly different format of reading this time! A recording of an online event I was honoured to participate in for the legendary Brixton Book Jam, in its lockdown version. There’s a brief preamble on how ‘healers’ are becoming the mythical heroes of our current times, then the excerpt from the prehistoric narrative follows the young shaman as she makes a disturbing discovery on her lonely journey, but one which deepens her sense of connection and compassion.
